Team India are currently busy playing the ongoing Delhi Test against Australia. However, team India again went with KL Rahul as the opener while bringing in Shreyas Iyer in the middle order in place of Suryakumar Yadav. Still, Shubman Gill did not get a place on the team. Now, a video has gone viral where Virat Kohli was seen with Gill in a funny pre-match session.

Speaking about Gill, he has enjoyed a great time for team India in recent months across all the formats. In Bangladesh, he scored his maiden Test ton. Then, Gill scored centuries in both the ODI and T20I format at home series. So, ahead of the series, fans were hoping to see him in the playing XI against the Aussies either as an opener or a middle-order batter.

Shubman Gill has been in terrific form for team India across all formats

Even, some former cricketers like Harbhajan Singh and Kapil Dev also claimed that Shubman Gill should get a place in the playing XI. For that, if the team need to drop vice-captain KL Rahul, they should do it. But, the team management showed faith in Rahul and went with him in the first two matches. Now, speaking about the video, Virat Kohli was seen having fun with his teammates and Gill was one of them. There, Kohli came up to him and managed a funny trick on him.

Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared some funny tweets on the social media platform. Speaking about Kohli, he has been failing in the longest format of the game for a long time now. In this ongoing series, the former India skipper has scored just 12 and 44 runs respectively in the two matches respectively. However, Shubman Gill will hope for a chance in the upcoming matches as KL Rahul has failed miserably in this series so far.
