Batting first, Phoenix lost their two wickets on the score of 57 runs in the form of opener Chris Benjamin and skipper Moeen Ali. It was the time when young opener Will Smeed took the charge and smashed a blistering century-knock of 101 runs off just 50 balls with eight boundaries and six sixes to his name.

It’s quite strange but the second highest scorer for Phoenix in the match other than Will was Liam Livingstone who scored 21 runs off 20 balls. With the help of the 20-year-old’s century, Phoenix ended their inning on 176 runs for the loss of five wickets.

While chasing the target, Southern Braves had a horrible start and they lost their two wickets only on the score of 21 runs. Later on, half of the team of Braves went back to Pavilion before the total score of 100 runs for the team. Eventually, the middle-order collapse for the visitors resulted in their bundling at the score of 123 runs in just 85 balls of the second innings.
