Rohit Sharma, along with opener Ishan Kishan, was in the stands to show his support for the Mumbai team. The duo is set to spearhead Mumbai's batting attack in the upcoming edition of the Indian T20 League. Sachin Tendulkar and pace ace Jasprit Bumrah were also present to witness the historic match.

In the WTL final, Mumbai Indians' pacer Issy Wong led the charge, triggering a batting collapse of the Delhi Capitals side by removing Shafali Verma, Alice Capsey, and Jemimah Rodrigues in the first powerplay. Wong was supported by MI spinner Hayley Matthews, who chipped in with crucial wickets of Jess Jonassen, Minnu Mani, and Taniya Bhatia, turning the game into a low-scoring contest.

Despite Lanning’s DC being on the verge of folding for a paltry total, middle-order batters Shikha Pandey and Radha Yadav guided Delhi to a respectable total. Yadav scored 27 off 12 balls, while Pandey smashed 27 off 17 balls to help Delhi post 131-9 in the 20-over contest. The duo stitched a match-altering 52-run partnership for the last wicket, making the game much closer than it would have been otherwise.
