Young Indian batter Shubman Gill has amazed everyone with his sensational outings in the recently-concluded three-match ODI series. He ended up the series being the highest run scorer from both the teams. Gill scored 245 runs in 3 matches with an outstanding average of 122.50 having a century and a half-century to his name.
In the last match of the series, he smashed a brilliant century and scored 130 runs off 97 balls having 15 boundaries and a six to his name. He won the award of both players of the match and player of the series for his batting heroics for the Indian team.
Rishabh Pant trolled for his reply to Yuvraj Singh about Shubman Gill
After his outstanding performance, Gill received praise from a lot of former cricketers. Former legendary Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was also one of those. He tweeted while appreciating Gill for his batting.
Star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant went on to reply to Yuvraj Singh’s tweet. He tried to make a joke on Shubman Gill but eventually, things turned around for him as fans started trolling him by taking a sly dig at him.
“Finally! Shubman Gill, you played brilliantly, you deserved this century. Many congratulations for the first century, a lot more to come, this is just the beginning,” wrote Yuvraj in his tweet.

Notably, Rishabh Pant was not in the squad of the Indian team during the ODI series against Zimbabwe. Although, he will be in action on the field during the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 commencing on the 27th of August. India will play their first match against Pakistan on the 28th of August. Senior batter Virat Kohli and regular skipper Rohit Sharma will also be back in the squad of the Indian team.
