Bangladesh faced off India in the three-match ODI series prior to the start of the Test series and managed to win two of them, eventually going on to lose the Test series that followed. The Bangla Tigers have been facing corruption and Ravichandran Ashwin, the Indian ace spinner, revealed the conversation that he had with Mehidy Hasan Miraz with the latter complaining of the production of duplicate balls.
Shakib Al Hasan, who led the team in the Test series, opened up about the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and claimed that he wanted to be the CEO of the league. Further, the southpaw said that he was well aware of the movie ‘Nayak’ and revealed his interest to replicate the same, in order to correct the league.
“If they made me the BPL CEO, it would take me 1-2 months to correct everything. We’ve seen the movie ‘Nayak’. If you want to do something, you can do it in one day,” Shakib was quoted as saying. It remains to be seen if the current CEO would hit back with a proper reply, although fans claim that is highly unlikely.

Further, the veteran Bangladeshi cricketer claimed that the jersey was not made ready and compared the tournament to Dhaka Premier League (DPL), claiming that it is well maintained and properly organized. Fans, on the other hand, were too quick to hit back at the southpaw as they added that Shakib was claiming something that was out of reality.
“I don’t see what’s stopping us if we have the willingness (to correct things). If we are willing, I don’t see any reason not to have the DRS, the draft or auction not being held three months in advance, or the teams wouldn’t be confirmed two months in advance. The players are only available for one or two matches. Nobody really knows for how long they are available,” Shakib was quoted as saying.
“I saw in the news that the jersey is not ready. It is a messy situation. Maybe our DPL (Dhaka Premier League) is more organised. They can arrange the team ahead of time. They know what their team is going to be. Every DPL team knows who is playing where for the next edition,” he added.
