It is seeming like Deepti Sharm’s ‘mankading’ row is not going to end soon. It’s been almost a week after the incident happened at the mecca of cricket Lord’s during the third and last of the three-match ODI series between India Women and England Women. India and England were heading towards the end of the match and series as well. But Deepti Sharma’s move of running Charlie Dean out at the non-striker’s end drew the attention of the whole cricketing fraternity.
Deepti’s move to win the match for India ignited a heated debate in the cricketing fraternity if it was within or outside the laws of cricket according to the rule book of the cricket’s governing body.
It was looking like the debate has ended but the veteran Indian sports pundit Harsha Bhogle has given it a new direction. He came up very harsh on the English media for continuously going after the Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma and questioning her integrity for the spirit of the game.
I find it very disturbing - Harsha Bhogle on English Media's coverage
“I find it very disturbing that a very large section of the media in England is asking questions of a girl who played by the laws of the game & none at all of another who was gaining an illegal advantage and was a habitual offender. That includes reasonable people & I think (1/n),” reads the first of the series of tweets posted by Harsha Bhogle on his official Twitter handle.

“Stop believing that the world must move at their bidding. As in society, where judges implement the law of the land, so too in cricket. But I remain disturbed by the vitriol directed towards Deepti. She played by the laws of the game and criticism of what she did must stop,” he concluded.

Speaking of the three-match ODI series between India-W and England-W, then the Indian girls completely outmuscled the hosts and won the series with a margin of 3-0. It was also the series win for India in England after a long wait of 23 years.
