Indian skipper Rohit Sharma sustained a thumb injury in the second of the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. It all happened when the 35-year-old went on to attempt a catch off Anamul Haque in the slip. Subsequently, he was taken to the hospital for scans and injections. Rohit was forced to stay out of the field for the entire part of the Bangladesh innings.
Although Rohit stunned and amazed everyone with his brave intent when he came to bat at number nine to save the Indian team. Later on, he played an unbeaten knock of 51 runs off 28 balls with three boundaries and five sixes to his name. Unfortunately, Rohit’s efforts went in vain as India lost the match by five runs.
Following the conclusion of the match, the Indian head coach Rahul Dravid confirmed that skipper Rohit Sharma will not be available for the third and last ODI of the series against Bangladesh. Meanwhile, there are also speculations that Rohit might also miss the Test series against Bangladesh due as he would be recovering from the injury.

Yashasvi Jaiswal
The young Uttar Pradesh batter is also delivering at his best with the bat in the ongoing unofficial Test series against Bangladesh A. He has scored 158 runs in the 2 innings of the two matches with an average of 79.00. Jaiswal has also smashed a century with the bat against Bangladesh A.
His explosive approach can make things clear for him to replace the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma in the opening slot for the Test series against Bangladesh. So, the 20-year-old might also fit himself for the left and right-hand combination in the opening with Shubman Gill.
