India’s rising fast bowling sensation, Umran Malik has been grabbing headlines for bowling at a great pace in the ongoing edition of the tournament. He has consistently bowled between 140 and 150 clicks for Hyderabad in the tournament. At just 22 years of age, Umran Malik has become India’s fastest bowler in the history of the game.
The Hyderabad seamer proved expensive in the first two games but skipper Kane Williamson kept backing him and continued to include him in the playing XI in the following matches. Much to the delight of Hyderabad, the skipper’s decision has worked out pretty well for the team.
The SRH young pacer dished out impressive bowling performance in the last game and in ongoing game against Punjab. He finished with figures of 2 for 27 against Kolkata and followed it up with a sensational bowling performance in the ongoing match against Punjab.
Umran Malik bowled at great pace in the searing heat and kept troubling with opposition batters with his pace and bounce. He bowled at better lengths in comparison to the previous games as well. Umran Malik was handed the last over of the first innings in the game. Unarguably, it was his best over thus far in his Indian T20 League career.
Malik didn’t give a single run in that over and also picked crucial wickets of Odean Smith, Rahul Chahar, and Vaibhav Malik. He finished his bowling figures with sensational returns of 4 for 28 in 4 overs. The fans were left in complete awe with his outstanding bowling display. 3-wicket maiden. They weren’t even touching the ball. This is the peak Umran Malik is capable of hitting. Nurture him. Save him. He’s a weapon few teams possess in international cricket.

An Indian fast bowler is earning the kind of hype that is usually reserved for the Archers and the Rabadas of the cricket world. Long way to go for Umran Malik, but what a retention from SRH.
