Two Asian Giants and arch-rivals India and Pakistan are all set to take on each other once again in a marquee tournament as they will lock horns on the 23rd of October next week in the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Earlier in the 20-20 World Cup, both teams played against each other last year in 2021’s 20-20 World Cup.
The cricket experts and fans of both countries are eagerly waiting and very excited for the much-anticipated clash of the 20-20 World Cup. In the same sequence, former World Cup winner Indian batter Gautam Gambhir has also expressed his opinion on the ace Pakistani speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi ahead of the clash between India and Pakistan.
“In their T20 World Cup 2022 opener, India must aggressively attack Pakistan's left-arm bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and not just try to survive with the hopes of saving their wickets during his overs,” said Gautam Gambhir.
However, these comments from the former Indian southpaw didn’t go down well with Pakistani fans and they took no time in reminding Gambhir about the last year’s encounter of India and Pakistan in the 20-20 World Cup.
Here’s how fans reacted to Gambhir’s remarks on Shaheen Afridi:
He's gonna rip apart the Indians this time too 😭😭😭😭

Talking about the recent face-offs between both teams, they crossed their swords two times in the Asia Cup 2022. Firstly, Indians won the group match against the men in green whereas Babar’s men cleared the books with India in the super-4 match of the tournament.
Earlier, former veteran Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan also happened to instruct the Indian batters about to how to tackle things at the MCG in Melbourne.
“The straight boundaries are not very large at the MCG. The side borders are rather substantial. India must undoubtedly play smart, especially the batsmen,” said Pathan.
