Indian camp has faced a major setback just ahead of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 as the senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the marquee event due to an injury. The Indian management hasn’t named a replacement for the 28-year-old. Apart from that, there are names in the nucleus of discussions including the likes of Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Deepak Chahar.
But it’s still awaited who of these three will make a cut to the squad. Notably, Shami and Chahar are already on the list of standbys for the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup. Earlier, in a major blow, senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was also ruled out of the tournament as he sustained a knee injury last month in September.
