The Governing Body for International Cricket released the men’s Future Tours Program (FTP) for the next five i.e., 2023-2027 cycle. The five-year period will have 777 international matches including 281 ODIs, 173 Tests and 332 T20Is. These matches will be part of multi-team events as well as bilateral and tri-nation series. The upcoming five-year cycle will see an increase from the previous 694 matches played between 12 Test-playing nations.
The period from mid-march to the end of May has been left vacant for the Indian Cricket Board to organise the Indian T20 League. Elsewhere Pakistan will organise the Pakistan T20 League in the same window. The Indian T20 League will also be held between December to February in other years.
The Border- Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia has been amped up a notch and will feature five Test matches as opposed to four.
