Linking two World Cups and finding the similarities between them to predict the winner is not something new for fans and they have already started to do so after Ireland beat England by 5 runs in the DLS method in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 on October 26, Wednesday.

The last time Ireland beat England in a World Cup was in 2011, which was a 50-over tournament and India emerged as the winner of the epic event. To comment more on the linking, MS Dhoni, former Indian captain, attempted to create such a link during the relaunch event of a popular biscuit brand.

Concerning Dhoni’s opinion, the former Indian cricketer said that the biscuit brand was launched in 2011 and India won the World Cup the same year. Further, the Ranchi-born said that they are relaunching the same biscuit brand in 2022 so that it works as a lucky charm for team India in the 20-20 World Cup being played.

As it stands, the team led by Jos Buttler failed to clinch the 2 points against Andrew Balbirnie and his men during Wednesday’s clash and fans opined that it was a game to remember for ages for the Irish people.

However, India’s chances of winning the ongoing World Cup look divided as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Pakistan are in supreme form. Although the Babar Azam-led team failed to defend the total, the team looked in great form and almost made it impossible for India to win the game.

The Men in Blue will face Netherlands on Thursday at Sydney and South Africa on Sunday at Perth. However, the battle between Temba Bavuma and his men and India would be the one to watch out for as a win against the Proteas could almost seal India a place in the semi-finals.
