Finally, the day has arrived for the veteran Indian pacer Jhulan Goswami to hang her boots in international cricket after a handsome and celebrated career of two decades. She has contributed to India in a lot of crucial matches during her career since her debut 20 years back in the year 2002 against England.

Jhulan is playing in the last match of her international career in the third of the three-match ODI series against England. Indian cricket fans have paid tribute to the legendary pacer in their own style. They took to Twitter to remember the contribution of Jhulan to Indian cricket.

Apart from the praises from the fans, the players of both teams gave a guard of honor to Jhulan when she came to bat for the Indian team at number nine. Although, Jhulan could play only one ball and got out.

Here’s how fans paid tribute to Jhulan Goswami for her memorable career for the Indian team.

Speaking of the match so far, the Indian girls managed to post a total of 169 runs for the loss of all wickets in 45.4 overs. Star opener Smriti Mandhana played a handful knock of 50 runs off 79 balls with five boundaries to her name. Other than her, middle-order batter Deepti Sharma also scored crucial 68 runs off 108 balls with seven boundaries to her credit.

Later on, the 22-run knock from Pooja Vastrakar helped to reach a respectable total of 169 runs.

While defending the target of 170 runs, Indian bowlers troubled the English batting lineup as the hosts lost their seven wickets only on the score of 91 runs in 24 overs. Danni Wyatt is the only high scorer with an individual score of 23 runs. Star pacer Renuka Singh has scalped three wickets for the Indian team by conceding 22 runs in seven overs.

Veteran pacer Jhulan has also scalped one wicket by conceding 28 runs in seven overs with an economy rate of 4.00.
