Sreesanth announced his retirement from all forms of cricket yesterday, 9th March 2022. Notably, Sreesanth’s career was in a revival curve after he served a ban for being involved in the 2013 Indian T20 League spot-fixing scandal. He announced his retirement through a series of Tweets yesterday evening.
S Sreesanth’s dream spell against South Africa in a Test at Johannesburg, where he picked up 5 wickets for 40 runs, will always be etched in the memories of cricket fans. Besides some of his brilliant bowling performances, he will always be remembered for his unique presence on the field. He was also the man who caught Misbah ul-Haq at the short fine leg of Joginder Sharma, which led India to the Inaugural World T20 win.
Sreesanth was considered a talented bowler by fans and critics of the game. While he had good speed, he was a bowler who swung the ball both ways. Always an attacking bowler, Sreesanth always looked to pick up wickets. Meanwhile, Twitter reacted to the news of Sreesanth's retirement.
