Chennai skipper MS Dhoni was seen practising in the nets ahead of the Indian T20 League. Last year, Dhoni hinted that he might retire from league cricket after this season. Although, the schedule of the tournament is yet to be announced, according to the reports, the tournament will start from March 27 and end in the last week of May.
The double-round robin games will be played in Maharashtra while the playoffs will be played in Ahmedabad. Currently, all the teams are preparing for the mega auction, which will be held on February 12 and 13 in Bangalore. Teams have retained a minimum of two and a maximum of four players ahead of the auction.
Meanwhile, the former India skipper is busy getting some practice ahead of the high-octane tournament. In the video, he was seen leaving a ball outside to start and then played a straight drive with soft hands.

The four-time winners and holders have retained four players MS Dhoni (12 crores), all-rounder Moeen Ali (8 crores) and Ravindra Jadeja (16 crores), and Ruturaj Gaikwad (6 crores). Jadeja has been a mainstay for the team since 2012. However, he did play for now-defunct Gujarat for two seasons (2016 and 2017). Ruturaj Gaikwad was the Orange Cap winner last year. It will be interesting to see if Chennai go for the same players in mega auction or bring in younger players keeping the future in mind.
