Mohammed Siraj recently came up with some praising words for the stand-in skipper KL Rahul after the second ODI against Zimbabwe during the ongoing three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. Siraj said that KL has allowed the freedom to the bowlers to execute their strategies during the current series.

Notably, the Indian bowlers bundled up the hosts only on the score of 161 runs in 38.1 overs. Siraj also scalped one wicket after conceding only 16 runs in a total of eight overs. Later on, the men in blue chased down the target with five wickets and 24 overs to spare. Eventually, KL Rahul & co sealed the series with this win by a score line of 2-0.

During the post-match interview on Sony Sports, the broadcaster asked a question to Siraj about the environment on the team. He went on to reply with some praising remarks for the skipper.

β€œFirst of all, thank you so much, we have won the series. The atmosphere is extremely good. KL Bhai (Rahul) gives a lot of freedom to the bowlers, so the atmosphere is very good. I am enjoying my bowling a lot because I had the outswing from earlier but I was not too confident about it. Now I have worked more on the seam and I have got the confidence as well, and you must have been seeing that it is releasing nicely from my hand. I was bowling with that rhythm only,” said Siraj in his statement.

Although, these comments from the Indian speedster were not something new for any Indian captain from the bowler. Indian fans took no time to troll Siraj on Twitter for his comments on KL Rahul.
