The T20 World Cup is five months away, but all attention in the cricket fraternity has shifted to the shorter format of the game. Teams are busy finding their formidable squad for the premier 20-over tournament and the official schedule is yet to be finalised. However, Team India's probable schedule has surfaced on the internet and fans are eagerly waiting to witness the high-intensity clash against arch-rivals Pakistan.

As per a report on Sports Tak, India will begin their campaign against Ireland on June 5. They released a possible schedule for the Men in Blue along with match dates and possible opponents in the first-round group stage. India and Pakistan are expected to be in the same group and their blockbuster encounter is likely to take place on June 9. USA and Canada are the other two nations in the same group.

The upcoming major international tournament will be jointly hosted by the USA and West Indies. For the first time in history, 20 teams will compete in the World Cup. All participants will be divided into four groups with the top two progressing to the Super 8 round. In the next filter process, the eight teams will be drawn into two groups of four teams each, with the top two teams progressing to the semifinals and then the finals.
As usual, India will enter the tournament as one of the favourites. Barring Pakistan, the remaining three teams are expected to pose no challenge to India and they may easily advance to the Super 8 stage. According to Sports Tak, all of India's group stage games will be played in the USA and the Super 8 games will be held in the West Indies. Earlier reports suggested that the IND vs PAK match might take place in a pop-up stadium that was constructed temporarily in New York, US.
