The Lyca Kovai Kings won the TNPL final with a commanding 104-run victory over the Nellai Royal Kings. They outperformed their rivals in all three areas, batting, bowling, and fielding with excellence. Lyca Kovai Kings chose to bat first after winning the toss earlier in the game. They suffered early setbacks as Sandeep Warrier's excellent bowling resulted in the dismissals of S Sujay and B Sachin. Despite the early setback, the innings was saved by a critical 71-run partnership between J Suresh Kumar and U Mukilesh.

Sonu Yadav and Mohan Prasath, however, helped Nellai Royal Kings retake the lead by taking the crucial wickets of Suresh Kumar and Shahrukh Khan. Nevertheless, the Kovai Kings passed the 200-run threshold thanks to a late Atheeq surge and strong fielding performances. With two wickets each, Sandeep Warrier and Sonu Yadav stood out among other bowlers, while Mohan Prasath contributed with just one.

Opening batter and skipper Arun Karthik with 27 off 14 remained the top-scorer for the side while only Laxmesha Suryaprakash was the other batter to surpass the 20-run threshold. Seven of their batter were dismissed for single-digit scores, two of them for ducks. This included the impact substitute Sri Neranjan R. They could only manage 101 runs before getting bundled out inside 15 overs.

Talking of Kovai’s bowling, Jhatavedh Subramanyam remained the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4/21 in four overs. He was closely followed by the skipper Shahrukh Khan with 3/16.
