India faced Pakistan in the Super 4 round of the Asia Cup 2022 and lost it by five wickets. Fair enough to say that the loss irritated the Indian fans and it only speaks about the volume of love that they have for the country. However, going over the board, at times can not be ruled out.

While there were many key moments in the second clash between India and Pakistan, Arshdeep Singh’s drop catch became the most discussed point of the match. Arguably, he produced a stellar final over for Team India, where he almost delivered.

Many former cricketers came in support of the youngster who made his debut against England. The commentators, on air, however, kept their own counsel. Despite putting on a decent total on board, the Men in Blue let it go off hands with their poor bowling.

Harbhajan Singh, who rated Arshdeep Singh as ‘gold’ faced the backlash when people claimed that the entire hate against the youngster is propaganda. People pointed out that the hate tweets were from Pakistan and added that the Indians pledged to stand by the youngster.

Mohammad Hafeez faces the backlash

Mohammad Hafeez joined Harbhajan Singh in sharing the backlash as he came up with a tweet for Arshdeep Singh. “My request to all Indian team fans. In sports we make mistakes as we r human. Please don’t humiliate anyone on these mistakes. @arshdeepsinghh,” he tweeted.

The tweet, however, attracted a lot of hate for the former cricketer. The fans, who were already angry with those from the other side of the border for spreading propaganda, went mad on seeing the tweet. Clearly, the Indian fans did come up with hashtags in support of the left-armer.

Arshdeep Singh will look to make a strong comeback for India in the next match against Sri Lanka on Tuesday. No surprise if at all he comes up with a career-best spell. The fans, who got frustrated with explaining things, went a bit further and pointed out the loathed tweets from Pakistan fans.
