On 6 April 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders locked horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing Indian Premier League. But, Kolkata managed to win the match by 81 runs and registered their first win of the season. But, after the match, one of the KKR owners, Shahrukh Khan was seen meeting with Virat Kohli at the post-match presentation ceremony.

Both of them were seen with all smiles meeting together. They also were seen dancing to the famous song ‘Jhoome jo Pathaan’ and seeing that, fans came up with some funny tweets on the social media platform. Virat Kohli is known as the ‘King’ in the cricket world while the KKR owner is known as the ‘King’ of Bollywood.

Speaking of the match, Faf du Plessis won the toss and asked KKR to bat first. While batting first, Kolkata scored 204 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 57 runs off 44 balls, including six fours and three sixes. Along with him, Rinku Singh scored 46 runs off 33 balls, including two fours and three sixes. But, it was Shardul Thakur who scored 68 runs off 29 balls, including nine fours and three sixes. For Bangalore, David Willey and Karn Sharma grabbed two wickets each. 

But, in reply, RCB got bundled out for just 123 runs in 17.4 overs. Virat Kohli scored only 21 runs off 18 balls. All batters failed to tackle the spin web of Kolkata spinners and three spinners picked up nine wickets together.  For KKR, Sunil Narine took two wickets and Suyash Sharma grabbed three wickets. Shardul Thakur also took one wicket. But, Varun Chakravarthy grabbed four wickets for 15 runs in 3.4 overs. The star Indian all-rounder won the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance. Now, Kolkata will be in action again in Ahmedabad against Gujarat Titans on 9 April 2023.
