Australia completely blew West Indies away in the third ODI to whitewash the three-match series on Tuesday, February 6. Heading into the T20I series, the Caribbean team, who remained silent throughout the 50-over contest, have only their Gabba heroics left to be proud of. An incredible display from pacer Xavier Bartlett set the tone for Australia's 8-wicket win in just 6.5 overs in Canberra.

Recognising the support for bowlers on the Manuka Oval pitch, captain Steve Smith elected to bat first and his decision proved gold right from the start. Bartlett gave the first breakthrough by dismissing opener Kjorn Ottley in the third over. Alick Athanaze and Keacy Carty managed to spend some time at the crease but Adam Zampa broke the partnership in the 11th over which resulted in Windies' collapse.

No crucial partnerships were made and apart from opener Athanaze (32 off 60), no batters managed to score more than 12. Right-arm seamer Bartlett, who won the Player of the Match for his sensational four-wicket haul, was the wrecker-in-chief. Zampa and Lance Morris also shone with two wickets each as West Indies were bowled out for just 86 runs in 24.1 overs.

Chasing a mere total, Jake Fraser-McGurk was in a hurry to wrap things up. The 21-year-old came out all guns blazing and raced to a 18-ball 41. Josh Inglis also did not keep quiet as the wicketkeeper hammered an unbeaten 16-ball 35. Windies managed to pick up a couple of wickets to create a bit of an anti-climax, but it had no impact on the game. Smith and Inglis took the team to the finish line in just 6.5 overs.

Speaking after the series win, Bartlett said: "Just great to get a taste of international cricket, great to cap it off with a series win. Was a real experience, always wanted to contribute to a win. There was some pressure but I tried to enjoy it, lucky it came off. Just trying to attack and take some wickets. Nice to be part of this group, lot of debutants coming in, people you’ve played with and against."
