Indian Women’s Under-19 team is currently locking horns with New Zealand in the first semi-final of the Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup. Indian skipper Shafali Verma won the toss and asked New Zealand women’s team to bat first. Meanwhile, Mannat Kashyap came up to bowl the second over of the first innings.

The third ball brought something very amazing for the audience who were there in the stadium and it was Soumya Tiwari who took a stunning and mind-blowing catch to dismiss New Zealand opener, Anna Browning.

Speaking of the match so far, the girls in blue are comfortably heading towards the target of 108 runs as they have scored 74 runs for the loss of one wicket in 9.2 overs. Shweta Sehrawat and Soumya Tiwari are there in the middle on individual scores of 38 and 15 runs respectively.

Anna Browning scalped the wicket of Indian skipper Shafali Verma in the 4th over with an individual score of 10 runs.

Earlier, the Kiwi team posted a total of 107 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Georgia Plimmer and Isabelle Gaze played the knocks of 35 and 26 runs respectively. Parshavi Chopra bowled brilliantly and scalped three wickets by conceding only 20 runs in her quota of four overs.

Other than her, Titas Sadhu, Mannat Kashyap, Shafali Verma, and Archana Devi scalped one wicket each to restrict New Zealand on a low total.
