MS Dhoni is currently preparing for the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League. They will take on the defending champions, Gujarat in the curtain raiser of the tournament on 31 March 2023 in Ahmedabad. So, ahead of that huge clash, many images and videos have gone viral so far regarding his net sessions.

Now, an image has gone viral where the Chennai skipper was seen playing a ramp shot. Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared their views on the social media platform. However, some fans also trolled MS Dhoni brutally. In the last season, he failed to score big runs when the team needed them most in crunchy situations.

In the last edition of the tournament, Chennai failed miserably. They finished in the ninth position with just four wins out of 14 games. Initially, the captaincy was in Ravindra Jadeja’s hands while during the mid-tournament, it came back to MS Dhoni. So, he will look to do well both as a skipper and an individual batter this season. In the last season, Dhoni scored just 232 runs in 14 matches, including one unbeaten fifty.

However, some reports came out on 30 March 2023 that left all Chennai fans crazy and disheartened. Reports suggested that Dhoni might miss the opening game as he felt some discomfort in his left knee both during net sessions and intra-squad matches. He was also seen wearing a kneecap. However, the CEO of the Chennai franchise, Kasi Viswanathan claimed that he is 100 percent sure that their skipper would be playing.  He said: "As far as I am concerned, the skipper is 100 percent playing. I don't know about any other development." So, fans will be hoping to see him in action in the first match of the tournament against Hardik Pandya and his men.
