In a major piece of news, the media reports have learned that the senior Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the upcoming 20-20 World Cup 2022. The Ahmedabad-born pacer has sustained a stress fracture in the back region of the body, although, there is no confirmation from either of the Indian managerial authorities.
Senior Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is in the headlines since he has been ruled out of the first of the three-match T20I series against South Africa. The 28-year-old had a complaint of back pain during the net-practice session of the Indian team two days back on Tuesday. Although, the Indian pacers couldn’t trouble without Bumrah as they troubled the South African batting line-up by restricting them only to 106 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
The senior speedster made a return to the national team just a few days ago during the three-match T20I series against Australia. But he couldn’t carry himself in a long run.
Sports journalist Kushaan Sarkar has informed about this major update on Jasprit Bumrah. He also mentioned the time that will be required for Bumrah to recover from the injury.
“Breaking News: Jasprit Bumrah is out of World T20 with a serious back stress fracture injury. No surgery reqd but out for 4-6 months as per sources. He didn't travel with the team to Trivandrum,” reads the tweet posted by Sarkar on his official Twitter handle.

Speaking of the first T20I of the three-match series between India and South Africa, then the Indian pace duo of Deepak Chahar and Arshdeep Singh played with the South African batting lineup as they both scalped five wickets only on the score of nine runs in just 2-3 overs.
Eventually, India won the match by eight wickets to gain the lead of 1-0 in the three-match series.
