Prithvi Shaw was a part of team India for the recently concluded home T20I series against New Zealand. However, fans were hoping to see him in action for the Men in Blue in the shortest format of the game. But, unfortunately, Prithvi Shaw failed to get a single chance in that three-match T20I series.

He was coming off after scoring a lot of runs in the domestic circuit across different formats. But, on 14 February 2023, an Instagram story shared by the young Mumbai batter went viral where he was seen celebrating Valentine’s Day with his rumoured girlfriend Nidhhi Tapadiaa. He shared a picture of them pouting at each other with a caption: “Happy Valentines my wifey” while tagging her with one kiss and one love emoticon.

Prithvi Shaw had a decent Ranji Trophy season for Mumbai 

However, fans went crazy after seeing such a story where he mentioned the girl as his wife. Some fans also started speculating whether Prithvi Shaw has already married her or not. Meanwhile, the Instagram story is currently unavailable on his official account as he might have deleted it after some time. Speaking of Prithvi Shaw’s form, Prithvi scored 595 runs in 10 innings of the Ranji Trophy 2022/23 season. He batted at an average of 59.50. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he scored 332 runs in 10 innings, at an average of 36.88. But, his strike rate of 181.42 was what made headlines. 

He was instrumental in Mumbai’s trophy-winning journey. But, Prithvi had a moderate Vijay Hazare Trophy, scoring 217 runs in seven innings, at an average of 31 with a strike rate of 105.33. In the recently concluded Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) award ceremony, Prithvi Shaw bagged nine awards. On Instagram, he wrote: "I just want people to feel like they can achieve something great in their lives. We all go through rough times. You’ve got to believe in yourself. And if you believe, you will achieve it." Now, after seeing such a story, fans went crazy and shared their views on social media platforms.
