The final of the World Test Championship (WTC) is all set to take place on 7 June 2023 at the Oval, England between India and Australia. Throughout the 2021-23 cycle, these teams showed some top performances in the longest format of the game and hence, they managed to seal their berth in the final.
Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik will do commentary in the final and that has been confirmed by the broadcaster. Now, ahead of the mega clash, the RCB batter shared an image of the pitch of the Oval on his Instagram story and Twitter on 5 June. It seemed that the pitch looked greenish and seeing that, fans were worried. They came up and shared their views on social media.
Here is the shared image of the Instagram story and tweet by Dinesh Karthik:

What is your playing XI gonna be? 🧐 pic.twitter.com/wLyYHr4vcy
"It will be very interesting to see if India go down that route where they play both the spinners.” - Dinesh Karthik
Speaking of the tweet, Karthik shared the images of the pitch and wrote: “Two days to go for the #WTCFinal and this is how the pitch looks like What is your playing XI gonna be?” Meanwhile, recently, in the review show of the Apex Council of Cricket, Karthik opened up about the possible bowling lineup for Team India in the WTC final. He said: "I remember very vividly the last time they did feel that they had made an error by playing both the spinners in the Southampton Test match (2021 World Test Championship final) which didn't probably aid spin much and both of them were under bowled.”
"It will be very interesting to see if India go down that route where they play both the spinners. The last time they played in England, they went for the fast-bowling all-rounder and just the one spinner, so they very much could go in with the same attack. It might come down to a stage where, are they going to look at just the one spin option and an extra fast-bowling all-round option in Shardul Thakur or are they going to go with two spinners? It will be an answer which will be easier said closer to the day of the match because the conditions will dictate whether they're going to go in with two spinners,” he further added.
Here is how fans have reacted to the viral images:
