Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson is in the headlines of social media since the Indian squad for the 20-20 World Cup 2022 has been announced. A group of Indian cricket fans and especially the fans of the 27-year-old cricketer are not happy with the decision of Indian selectors.
Just a few days back, there was news that Sanju Samson’s fans are planning to protest against the Indian Cricket Board during the match of the upcoming series between India and South Africa at the Greenfield Stadium.
But apart from all this, recently, Sanju Samson has come up with a new video in which he is addressing Indian cricket fans. The right-hander expressed his version very humbly and asked everyone indirectly to stop all the rumors regarding his omission from the squad of the Indian team for the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.
It is my team and they are my own teammates - Sanju Samson
“There have been a lot of talks around us in the social media that whom would I replace among KL Rahul or Rishabh Pant. It didn’t happen but apart from that, I am fortunate to make a comeback to the Indian team after five years. And, the Indian team is still the best team in the cricketing world both five years back and now as well. So, it is quite good enough for me to be there,” said Sanju Samson in the video uploaded on Twitter.

Later on, the Kerala batter also talked about the importance of playing for India and also cleared his stand on giving any reaction after facing ignorance from the World Cup squad.
“A player should think very clearly, Rishabh and Rahul playing for the same team. It is my team and they are my own teammates. So, you should think positive, if I will go to say anything wrong and negative about my team and selectors then I am letting my own country down,” he added later.
Notably, Sanju Samson has been appointed as the skipper of India A side which is supposed to play against New Zealand A in a three-match ODI series in Chennai commencing on September 22 and 27.
