Sanju Samson, India’s classic and valiant wicketkeeper, missed out on the squad for the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Fans left no stone unturned to slam the selectors for leaving a talented youngster out of the action. Reasonably so, the Indian youngster played some great knocks in the ODI series against West Indies.

However, the 28-year-old will now have the assignment to do for India ‘A’. The player whom people considered to be unlucky will lead India ‘A’ in the one-day series against New Zealand ‘A’ starting on September 22. The three-match List-A series will be played at MA Chidambaram stadium.

The first match will be on September 22, the second on September 25 and the third on September 27. It will be a big task for Sanju Samson as this assignment could help him make a statement about the future. However, captaincy is nothing new to the Kerala-born as he has already captained the Rajasthan franchise in the Indian T20 League
