‘Sanju ko yaha bhi nahi le gaye’ - Fans react to viral image of Team India players enjoying in West Indies ahead of ODI series

On 24 July 2023, no play happened on day five of the second Test between West Indies and India at the Port of Spain due to heavy rain. Thus, the match ended as a draw and India sealed the series 1-0. Now, the focus will be shifted to the white-ball formats as the Men in Blue will play a three-match ODI and a five-match T20I series.

This upcoming ODI series could be essential for India as a preparation for the upcoming ODI World Cup in India, starting in October. Many players like Yuzvendra Chahal, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, and others will be in action. Now, ahead of the series, an image went viral where many Team India players were seen enjoying the sea in West Indies along with some backroom staff.

West Indies have failed to get qualified for the upcoming ODI World Cup in India

Speaking of the image, players like Hardik, Chahal, Kuldeep, Umran Malik, and Suryakumar Yadav were seen while the batting coach, Vikram Rathour. Speaking of the upcoming ODI series, the first match will take place on 27 July followed by the second game on 29 July and the third game on 1 August. The first two matches will take place in Bridgetown while the third match will take place in Tarouba. 

The first T20I match will take place in Tarouba on 3 August. Then, the next two T20Is will be played on 6 and 8 August in Providence. After that, the last two T20Is will be held in Lauderhill on 12 and 13 August. On 25 July, West Indies announced their ODI squad for the three-match series. They already failed to get qualified for the upcoming ODI World Cup after a horrible performance in the qualifiers.        

West Indies squad: Shai Hope (Captain), Rovman Powell (Vice Captain), Alick Athanaze, Yannic Cariah, Keacy Carty, Dominic Drakes, Shimron Hetmyer, Alzarri Joseph, Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Gudakesh Motie, Jayden Seales, Romario Shepherd, Kevin Sinclair and Oshane Thomas.
