Sisanda Magala – R 5.4 m (Sunrisers Eastern Cape)

The fans in the subcontinent region might not know that much about the South African player. But he has proved his worth with consistent death bowling in the continent. He can add excellence to the performance of the team with his amazing death bowling and also the capacity of big hitting at crucial junctures in the match. In the auction of the first season, the Sunrisers-owned franchise bought Magala in an amount of R 5.4 m.

Wayne Parnell – R5.6 m

The senior pacer ended his long wait of five years to make it to the T20I squad of South Africa. At the beginning of this year, he was looking in very good form with the bowl. The senior left arm has delivered some stellar performances for the national side of South Africa. Notably, Parnell registered a five-wicket haul against Ireland in his last T20 international match. Pretoria Capitals bought Parnell R5.6m (INR 2.52 approx).

Marco Jansen – R 6.1 M

Jansen impressed everyone with his performance in the recently-concluded Test series against England. The left arm might produce some good display of bowling in the middle or death overs to trouble the batters with his pace and skill with the swing.

The 22-year-old young lad is a good prospect for the South African side and it is not surprising that Sunrisers Eastern Cape went on to spend the big amount of R 6.1 M.

Rilee Rossouw – R 6.9 M (Pretoria Capitals)

Since the time, the South African management has invested trust in the senior southpaw Rilee Rossouw, he has got a new chance of proving himself in international cricket. Rossouw made his comeback after a long hiatus of six years which could’ve been possible after the end of his Kolpak deal.

The Bloemfontein-born batter has been sensational for the South African team with an amazing unbeaten knock of 96 runs in the second T20I against England earlier in the month of July.

Tristan Stubbs – R 9.2 M (Sunrisers Eastern Cape)

Stubbs ended up as the man of the moment in the auction. He emerged as the most expensive player in the first auction of the SA20 league. Sunrisers Eastern Cape had the last laugh after a bidding war with MI Cape Town and Johannesburg Super Kings, eventually, Sunrisers won this battle and added Stubbs to their camp with a massive amount of R 9.2 M (INR 4.1 crore).
