Apparently, India's opening batter, Ruturaj Gaikwad was caught by the broadcasters for pushing away one of the groundsman. During the rain break, the groundsman went to the Indian dugout and tried to take a selfie with Gaikwad. To the shock of the fans, he pushed the groundsman away and ignored him. This is the reason Twitter users were unhappy and trolled the Maharashtra player for the same.

Some of the users have schooled him to learn from the likes of former India skipper MS Dhoni and current skipper Rohit Sharma. They uploaded the images of Sharma and Dhoni and the way the duo treated the groundsmen in the past. On the other hand, some of the users wondered whether it is the rising cases of COVID-19 but they didn't excuse him for the behavior.

The video of the incident has gone viral on the internet. Talking about the game, the Proteas stand-in skipper Keshav Maharaj won the toss and elected to field first. Notably, Rishabh Pant lost all the tosses in the series which is a record in itself. For the unversed, Temba Bavuma missed the game due to injury he sustained on his elbow during the fourth game. Coming back to the game, the game started almost an hour late from the schedule.

Batting first, Ishan Kishan plundered Maharaj for two sixes in the first three balls of the game. The team got 19 runs from the over. After this, they were troubled by the pace and variation from Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi. The latter took two wickets before the rain arrived and didn't let the game happen.
