English cricketer, Liam Livingstone has been in sublime form with the bat. He is currently plying his trade for Punjab in the Indian T20 League 2022. Batting in the middle order for the team, Livingstone has played some sensational knocks this season. He has been one of the bright stars for the franchise and is currently their second-highest run-getter.

In 12 matches, the 28-year-old has 385 runs to his name at an average and a strike rate of 35 and 180. 75 respectively. Punjab notched a mammoth 209-run total in the last game against Bangalore. Jonny Bairstow set the tone in the first half but it was Liam Livingstone, who put on a batting masterclass in the second half of the innings.
He played a sensational knock of 70 runs in 42 balls, including 5 fours and 4 sixes. Bangalore couldn’t chase down the score as they were bundled out for 155. On the other hand, Faf du Plessis and Co. also have a got a brilliant finisher in Dinesh Karthik in their side but he fell cheaply in the last game. Karthik too has been brilliant for Bangalore and has done a brilliant job while batting in the latter half of the innings in most of the games this season.
Recently, RP Singh drew comparisons between Dinesh Karthik and Liam Livingstone, with regards to their performances for their respective teams in the ongoing Indian T20 League. The former Indian pacer believes that Dinesh Karthik has been a better finisher than Liam Livingstone in the Indian T20 League 2022.
"Dinesh Karthik was my batchmate in the U-19 World Cup. He used to get run-out then as well, there's no change in that! (chuckles) Whenever he thinks too much, he makes mistakes. That's the kind of character he is. Give him less time to think, he'll do really well. When he knows he has to play 10 off the 20 deliveries left, he brings out his best performance." he stated
"You know how a cocky guys does it? He thinks he has to do it and will hit whenever the ball is on his radar. You'll know it from his body language. He's the best player for this number of remaining deliveries. And if you compare him with Liam Livingstone, I believe he has the upper hand because he has played a lot of knocks and won his team matches." PR Singh added.
Dinesh Karthik has fared pretty well for Bangalore in the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League. In 13 matches, he has scored 285 runs at a strike rate of 192.
