In the ongoing four-day warm-up match between India and Leicester, India's skipper Rohit Sharma got hit facing Jasprit Bumrah. For the unversed, Bumrah has turned for Leicester alongside three of his teammates. Players such as Rishabh Pant, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Prasidh Krishna have turned up for the English County alongside the India lead pacer. These players are playing in the opposition team to get some match practice ahead of the Test match.
Meanwhile, talking about the incident, Sharma got hit on the box while batting against Bumrah. The incident happened in the seventh over of the innings. The right-arm pacer got vicious movement from outside the off-stump and managed to bring the ball back into the right-hander. The India skipper missed the ball and got hit on the box. He was on his knees and the physio came out to check on him.

Luckily enough, the 35-year-old was alright and continued to bat. Talking about the game, the visitors are in deep trouble as they have lost five wickets and have only 90 runs on the board at the time of writing. Three overs after Rohit's incident, the team lost the wicket of Shubman Gill to Will Davis. Gill (21) was caught behind by Pant. Sharma (25) could not get a big score as he was caught by Abidine Sakande off Roman Walker.
Hanuma Vihari (3) couldn't do much as he became the second victim of Walker. Prasidh Krishna took the wicket of Shreyas Iyer while Walker took his third after trapping Ravindra Jadeja for lbw. At Lunch, the likes of Virat Kohli and Srikar Bharat are at the crease and will be looking to get some runs under their belt unlike their teammates.
The dressing room at this stage at this stage will be a little tense but they would want to recover from this in the next session. Also, they would like to see Kohli getting a big score ahead of the much-anticipated fifth Test, starting on July 1.
