India and England are set to face each other in the second semi-final of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. India will be heading into the match with a mental advantage as they have outplayed Jos Buttler’s men in the last clash in the home conditions of three lions.
Indian camp will be there in a dilemma over selection in the team between wicketkeeper-batters, Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant. The men in blue might opt for Rishabh Pant if England goes ahead with Adil Rashid.
Meanwhile, the young Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has picked his dream T20 XI in which he happened to pick himself over the former Indian skipper and senior batter, Virat Kohli.
Here’s what Rishabh Pant had to say about the players he picked in his dream T20 XI:
Jos Buttler – “The first five players which I would pick in a T20 XI for my side are Jos Buttler, Whenever he comes to bat, especially in T20s, I feel he can hit anywhere in this world.”
Rashid Khan – “And Rashid, he’s been a mystery spinner over a period of the last six, seven years now. I love him and he can contribute with the bat too.”
Liam Livingstone – “I love watching Livingstone, the way he has been playing over the last two, three years,” Pant said.
Jasprit Bumrah – “Choosing Bumrah, there is never a doubt. You need a fast bowler so I’m going to add Bumrah for that.”
While talking about picking himself over Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant said:
“Because I’m choosing this team, I have to be in it. It’s compulsory for me to choose myself, that’s why I went there,” Pant went into a laugh while saying this.
