Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj is on the receiving end of harsh criticism from the trolls on social media. It was not only because of his poor display of bowling but the intent in batting when he failed to take a single in the 48th over and couldn’t hand over the strike to the skipper Rohit Sharma.

Earlier, Siraj conceded 73 runs in his quota of 10 overs and could scalp only two wickets. A section of the Indian cricket fans went furious at Siraj for his poor intent at a very crucial time. Fans took to Twitter to lash out at the 28-year-old and subsequently, they came up with their angry reactions to Siraj.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Talking about the action of the match, the hosts recovered from the misery of an early collapse to a decent, thanks to the brilliant partnership of 148 runs. It came between Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mahmudullah for the seventh wicket. Mehidy scored 100 runs off 83 balls with eight boundaries and four sixes to his name. Other than him, the senior all-rounder Mahmudullah also played a knock of 77 runs off 96 balls with seven boundaries.

On the back of these two knocks, Bangladesh posted a total of 271 runs for the loss of seven wickets at the end of the first innings. Washington Sundar ended up as the leading wicket-taker for India in the match as he scalped three wickets by conceding 37 runs in his quota of 10 overs.

While chasing the target, India could score only 266 runs for the loss of nine wickets and lost the match by six runs. Shreyas Iyer and Rohit Sharma’s half-century went in vain as Mehidy Hasan delivered an all-round performance for his team both with the bat and the ball. He also won the ‘player of the match award for his match-winning performance.
