Pakistan cricket team has lost their chances to seal their place in the final of the World Test Championship 2023 (WTC) following a consecutive loss in the three-match series against England. The visitors outplayed Babar Azam’s men in the penultimate match of the Test series by a margin of 26 runs only on the fourth day of the match.
With this win in the second match, England has also taken the unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series which has also strengthened their chances in the race for the final of the prestigious tournament in the longest format of the game.
Pakistan now ought to win the last Test against England in the ongoing series and then beat New Zealand in two-match Test series. Apart from that, they’ll also be dependent on the fate of other matches to have things in their favor when it’s about qualifying for the title clash of the World Test Championship.
As Pakistan is almost out of the WTC final contention on practical grounds unlike the statistical equations, the Indian fans took it as a chance to troll them and subsequently they extended their gratitude to the three lions who almost knocked out Pakistan from the race.
Here’s how Indian fans reacted after Pakistan’s defeat and their chances to play the WTC final:

Now, Pakistan will lock horns with the English team in the last match or a dead rubber of the Test series on Saturday, 17th of December at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Talking about India, they will play the first of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh starting with the first Test on Wednesday, 14th of December at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhary Stadium in Chattogram.
Looking at things from the POV of India, they need to win all remaining six Tests to keep their hopes alive for the WTC final. Notably, the Australian team will tour India for a four-match Test series against team India.
