However, the former Team India international, Gautam Gambhir is still a part of the franchise since 2021. In that season, he was their mentor while in the last season, he was an integral part of the team. Now, reports have come out that Gambhir is all set to leave the franchise ahead of the next season.

Gautam Gambhir played for KKR from 2011 to 2017

Earlier, some reports came out that he might look to join Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as their mentor. He is still in contact with the KKR management and hence, the Kolkata franchise might be his next destination ahead of the next edition. So, fans are still thinking that he might make a move to that team whom he made champions while playing in 2012 and 2014 respectively.

He will represent the New Jersey Tritons alongside his other former KKR teammate, Yusuf Pathan. However, Gambhir showed his love and affection for KKR during the KKR vs LSG clash at Eden Gardens in IPL 2023. After the match, he shared some images with a caption that reads: “You know how much I love you Kolkata!” In that match, many Kolkata fans were seen with some banners that read: “Bring back GG to KKR.” Gambhir was a part of KKR from 2011 to 2017.
