The star all-rounder Axar Patel has proved his worth for Team India of late in white-ball cricket. Particularly, after the veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is not a part of the Indian squad, Axar has successfully filled that void with his brilliant outing both with the bat and the ball.
The 28-year-old delivered amazingly with his all-around performances in the recently-concluded three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. On the other hand, speaking of Ravindra Jadeja, he is a vital part of the Indian lineup for almost a decade. The 34-year-old is currently off the field due to a freaking knee injury that he sustained during the Asia Cup 2022. Since then, Axar is playing in place of the senior Saurashtra all-rounder.
Meanwhile, both players are now in the headlines of social media for some other reason that belongs to the micro-blogging site.
Recently, Ravindra Jadeja happened to like a tweet in which a user categorically mentioned and explained how he is a better all-rounder than Axar Patel. This like reaction from Ravindra Jadeja was noticed by the users and his followers on Twitter.
“Same opponents, but against pace. Axar cant hit against pace. Jadeja has finishing capabilities pls for god's sake understand that aspect; don’t be a mug. If there is one guy who can come closer its Washington but he needs to prove his game against pace too,no.7 mostly will face pace,” read the tweet posted by a user followed by a like reaction from Jadeja.

Currently, the Indian team under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma is in action against Sri Lanka in the three-match ODI series. The men in blue have already taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 before heading to the last and third of the three-match ODI series. Both teams will play the last ODI at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
Coming back to Ravindra Jadeja, he is expected to make a comeback in the Indian team with his appearance in red-ball cricket. The veteran southpaw might make it to the Indian squad for the upcoming full-fledged four-match Test series against Australia. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will commence on the 9th of February with the first Test at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.
