Yuvzendra Chahal is having a great time in the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League 2022. He recently made headlines after picking a hat-trick in a high-scoring thriller against Kolkata. Chasing a 218-run target, Kolkata were in the game till the 16th over of the second innings. 40 runs were needed in the last four overs with both Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer at the crease.
However, Yuzvendra Chahal then produced a magical over to turn the game completely in favour of Rajasthan. Chahal picked four wickets, including a hat-trick in just six deliveries to seal the game for the side. Umesh Yadav hit some boundaries after that over but Kolkata eventually fell 7 runs short of the target.
Yuzvendra Chahal finished the game with match-winning figures of 5 for 40 in 4 overs. Yuzvendra Chahal is currently the highest wicket-taker this season. In 6 matches, he has managed to pick 17 wickets at an average of 10.35.
Following his match-winning performance on Monday, Rajasthan Royals decided to create a website, called www.yuzigetsahattrick.com”. The website features several different photos of Yuzvendra Chahal. The fans apparently loved it as they get to see different pictures of the Rajasthan bowler.
Rajasthan took to their Twitter to updated about the same. “So we did a thing’’, Rajasthan wrote as caption.

Following his heroic performance on Monday, Chahal was also adjudged the Player of the Match. At the post match presentations, here’s what he had to say on his performance.
“I had to take wickets in this match to change the result. I worked on my bowling. I spoke to the coaches and the skipper. I was thinking of a googly but then I didn't want to take a chance. Would have been a happy with a dot ball as well on my hat-trick ball. My googly was coming out well and sent it down to Venkatesh Iyer.”
Rajasthan are currently sitting at second position on the points table with 4 wins in 6 matches. Sanju Samson and Co. are slated to play their next game against Delhi at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Friday.
