The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has signed a lucrative deal with TikTok for the second leg of the Pakistan Super League (PCB). Under this exciting partnership, millions of TikTok users will get an opportunity to generate PSL related content. Also, PSL will be working closely with TikTok to develop exclusive content for TikTok users along with promoting the contributions of the existing fan base. The PCB is extensively looking to expand its fanbase and social media is one of the easiest and more rewarding modes of engaging with fans. The decision to partner with TikTok comes days after PCB signed a deal with social media giant Facebook where the fans can enjoy the live stream of all PSL matches on Facebook by paying a nominal fee.
The second leg of the PSL resumes at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on June 9. Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United will cross swords in the 15th match of the T20 extravaganza. The league will have six doubleheaders, including one in the playoffs. All the matches will start at 9: 00 PM PST while in the case of doubleheaders, the first match will get underway at 6:00 PM PST while the second match will start at 11:00 PM PST. PSL will conclude on June 24, a day before Pakistan's departure to the UK.
The tournament was postponed in March after several players and support staff tested positive for COVID-19. To avoid any further interruption, the PCB has laid out strict COVID-19 protocols for the UAE leg and any breach by the players or officials will have serious consequences.
