Both Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings are placed poles apart in the points table. Karachi Kings with three wins in five games are settled at the helm while Multan Sultans are tottering in the bottom half with just a victory to show in five encounters.
Multan Sultans rely heavily on Mohammad Rizwan who is in the form of his life. He was the highest run-getter for Multan with 297 runs before the tournament was postponed. With players like James Vince, Chris Lynn, Adam Lyth and Shahid Afridi not available for the second leg, Multan's batting looks bleak. They have roped in Shimron Hetmyer but one cannot guarantee how he will fare in the competition. Rilee Rossouw, Khushdil Shah, and Shan Masood are likely to find a place in the XI. Multan will look up to Shahnawaz Dhani, who picked up 9 wickets in the first leg, to do the job with the ball. He will have Obed McCoy, Sohail Khan, Imran Tahir, and Imran Khan to accompany him.
Just like Multan, Karachi Kings are also over-dependent on individual stars. Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan will be their main man with the bat. They have roped in Martin Guptill but the Kiwi stalwart is not in the best of form. Thisara Perera and Imad Wasim will take up the all-rounders spots but their performance of late has not been up to the mark. In the bowling department, Mohammad Amir will be a big threat for Multan while Waqas Maqsood, Arshad Iqbal and Imad Wasim are also good enough to trouble the opposition.
Pitch Report
The surface should be flat and good for batting. It will be on the slower side and with large boundaries, spinners are going to play a big role.
