Prithvi Shaw comes up with a cryptic post after being ignored from New Zealand series

Young India batter Prithvi Shaw is once again in the headlines of social media as the Indian selectors have ignored him for another time while selecting the Indian squad for the three-match T20I series against New Zealand. The 22-year-old has impressed everyone with his performances in the recent 10 T20 matches during the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022 while playing for Mumbai but it seems Indian selectors were not are not in that list.

Following his ignorance of the national squad of India, Shaw caught the attention of everyone’s eyeballs with his latest Instagram story. In his story, the Mumbai-born batter posted an image of Hindu God Sai Baba with a text over it, “Hope you are watching everything Sai Baba.”

Shaw’s story has gone viral on social media within minutes of being shared by him on the social media platform, Instagram.

Speaking of his recent performances, Shaw has scored three half-centuries and two centuries in the last 10 T20 matches he played in the Indian domestic circuit.

Discussing a bit more about India’s tour of New Zealand, the men in blue will play this series against the Kiwis just after five days after the conclusion of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022. In a line of changes once again, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is all set to lead the team once again after his successful assignment a few months back in June against Ireland. In that series, Pandya’s men registered a clean-sweep victory by a margin of 2-0 against the Irish team. Apart from that, young wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant will be there to fulfill the responsibilities of Vice-Captain.

Young pace bowling sensation Umran Malik will also be part of schemes in the Indian squad for his white-ball assignment against New Zealand. Malik impressed and stunned everyone with his stellar performances in the 2022 edition of the Indian T20 League.

He also played under Hardik’s captaincy on India’s tour against Ireland for two T20Is played in the month of June.

In another line of changes, star wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson is also set to feature in the roster for the three-match series in the shortest format of the game. The Indian cricket fans were not happy when selectors happened to ignore him from the squad of India for the 20-20 World Cup 2022.
