Perth-based hotel extends its apologies to Virat Kohli amidst privacy breach incident

Former Indian skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli has stunned the entire cricketing fraternity with a recent video uploaded on his Instagram handle. Responding to the incident, the 33-year-old took to Instagram to express his anger and said that this privacy breach is ‘appalling’ for him.

“I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favorite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment,” wrote Kohli in his Instagram post with a video of a room filmed by an unknown individual.

After facing a backlash from the entire cricketing fraternity, the matter has now gone to a serious extent.

In a recent development of events, The Crown Hotel in Perth has sacked its contractor following the incident. Notably, the hotel management has apologized to the Indian batting great, the Indian cricket team, and Cricket’s governing body.
