India and England locked horns in the second of the three-match ODI series. Both teams played this match at London’s Lord’s Stadium. The visitors’ skipper Rohit Sharma asked the English team to bat first after winning the toss. The hosts posted a bit decent total of 246 runs for the loss of their all wickets in 49 overs.
Later on, the England bowlers completely teared up the Indian batting order and got them all-out only on the score of 146 runs. Eventually, England won the match by a massive margin of 100 runs. Jos Buttler’s men have now leveled the series with a score line of 1-1.
Twitter users also went on to criticize the team India for their poor performance and debacle in the penultimate fixture of the three-match series.
Reece Topley achieved his career-best figures in the second ODI against India
The three lions completely outplayed the men in blue in the second ODI of the three-match series. Batting first, the opening pair of Jason Roy and senior batter Jonny Bairstow provided a bit steady start of 41 runs for the first wicket.
Meanwhile, a collapse happened for the England team and they went on to lose their six wickets only on the score of 146 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal spun the web around the English batters and scalped four wickets by conceding 47 runs.
But the 89-run stand from Moeen Ali and David Willey for the seventh wicket helped England to reach the total of 247 runs somehow. Other than Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya also scalped two wickets each. Whereas Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Shami went on claim one scalp each.
While chasing the target, the Indian batters were looking completely clueless against the English pacer Reece Topley. They lost their five wickets only on the score of 73 runs. Visitors’ top-order completely failed to deliver up to the expectations in a very crucial game. Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya remained the highest scorers for the team with their respective scores of 29 runs each.
Reece Topley went on to achieve his career-best of six wickets by conceding just 24 runs in 9.5 overs. He also bowled two maiden overs during his bowling.
Now, both teams will fight in the series decider to win the series as it is leveled now on a score line of 1-1.

@imjadeja is so overhyped as a batsman in limited overs cricket. Haven’t seen him even taking the team and crossing the line. #IndianCricketTeam #SonyLIV #indiavsEngland #AskTheExpert #india

Poor approach and tactical plan by #IndianCricketTeam! Such a defensive mindset, annoying to see. @ImRo45 #RahulDravid #rohitsharma Can we get some sort of intent in our game. Still playing old school cricket. Shame! #indiavsengland #india #AskTheExpert #SonyLIV

Comeback strong 👍#INDvsENG
Topley takes 6 for 24, as England level the series. It is the best ever figures for England in men's ODIs too.

The excuse of collapse is ready everytime 😏😏. #INDvsENG #IndianCricketTeam #ECB
#IndianCricketTeam just proved once again today that we haven't conquered the fears of collapse after our first 3 get out quickly. The only addition to that team in middle order that lost the 2019 WC semifinal was #SKY as #Pant,#Hardik & #Jadeja were there.#INDvsENG #Lords pic.twitter.com/5TV4bxCkkF
