Harmanpreet Kaur has been the talk of the town following her on-field antics in the third ODI against Bangladesh. She slammed the wickets following the on-field decision giving her out. She didn’t stop there and went on to misbehave during the post-match presentation ceremony, specifically targeting the below-par umpiring in the games.

However, several former Indian players have voiced their displeasure over Harmanpreet Kaur’s conduct. As a result, she was fined 75% of her match fee, 50% for slamming the wickets, and 25% for misbehaving in the post-match presentation. World Cup winner Madal Lal took to Twitter to voice out his concerns. He wrote, “Harmanpreet’s behaviour against the Bangladesh women’s team was pathetic. She is not bigger than the game. She got a very bad name for Indian cricket. BCCI should take very strict disciplinary action.”

‘She needed to be more careful in showing her disagreement’ – Anjum Chopra

Women’s Cricket legend Anjum Chopra was the other major personality to voice her concerns. She said, “When the aggression goes away and she becomes calm I'm sure she would look back and agree that she needed to be more careful in showing her disagreement. There's no harm in voicing your displeasure, but it's how and when you do it. She should have been more selective with her choice of words too.”

Speaking on Harmanpreet Kaur’s behaviour, her Bangladeshi counterpart, Nigar Sultana said, "It is totally her problem. I have nothing to do with it. As a player, she could have shown better manners. I can't tell you what happened, but it didn't feel right to be there with my team. It wasn't the right environment. That's why we went back. Cricket is a game of discipline and respect."

The ODI series between India Women and Bangladesh Women finished in a stalemate as both teams were announced joint-winner of the series, winning one game each. The final ODI ended as a draw whereas Bangladesh won the first game and lost the second. Earlier, India won the three-game T20I series 2-1.
