Jasprit Bumrah is arguably one of the best bowlers of this generation. His numbers are sensational, to say the least. However, the road wasn't easy for him as he had to play a lot of domestic and Indian T20 league games before making it large in the international arena.
It is to be noted that he is now synonymous with the Mumbai-based franchise, and has been a part of several title-winning campaigns for them. However, Parthiv Patel had earlier gone on to speak about how he had asked Virat Kohli to pick the pacer in Bangalore, but he wasn't keen to have him on board.
“In 2014, when I was Bangalore, I told Kohli there’s this bowler named Bumrah. Have a look at him. Virat replied saying ‘Chhor na yaar. Ye Bumrah-Vumrah kya karenge?’ (Leave it. What will such players do?” Parthiv Patel had said on Cricbuzz. This didn't sit well with several Kohli fans as they went on to criticize Patel for his statement.
In a shocking turn of events, Patel seemingly took a dig at the 33-year-old and his fans. He took to Twitter to convey a cryptic message. He suggested that the truth is always bitter.
"neem patta aur sach dono kadwa hai!" read Parthiv Patel's Tweet. The fans were quick to react as they too felt that this Tweet was directed at Kohli and his fans. Earlier, the 37-year-old had also spoken about how Mumbai backed Bumrah after the Indian pacer kept on improving, and working on himself.

dono kadwa hai!
“When he was first picked, Bumrah played Ranji Trophy for the first 2-3 years. 2013 was his first year, and he didn’t have a good season in 2014. In 2015, it was so bad that there were discussions going on that he might have to be sent back home mid-season. But, he slowly began improving and Mumbai really backed him. It was his own hard work and such backing that really brought out the best in him,” Patel had said in the same interaction.
