Speaking of the match, then it provided the audience with some high-quality performances including the all-around amazeballs from Hardik Pandya to Naseem Shah’s fiery spell that impressed all the experts and the fans who were watching the match. The match was a roller coaster ride for both the teams from start to the conclusion.

Now coming back to the procedure of the imposition of the fine on both the teams for slow over-rate, then both India and Pakistan failed to bowl all the overs in the allotted time. As a result of it, they had to bring an extra fielder within the radius of a 30-yard circle.

Basically, it was the penalty that cricket's governing body imposed on both the teams within the premises of the match, but other than this, cricket’s governing body also fined both the teams 40 percent of their match fees as they maintained the slow over-rate in their first match of the tournament.

The apex council of cricket said in a press release that:

“In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offenses, players are fined 20 percent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time.”
