'Packed a whole lifetime' - Cricketing fraternity in awe of young Mohammad Haris blistering quick knock against South Africa

The cricketing fraternity has left in awe of the 21-year-old Mohammad Haris for his amazing approach in his career’s first-ever 20-20 WC.

Pakistan team is currently playing against Sri Lanka in the fourth match of their campaign in the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Skipper Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat first at the turf of Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. Following the early dismissal of star batter Mohammad Rizwan, the young batter Mohammad Haris came to bat at number 3.

Harris is appearing in his first T20I since the match in which he made a debut against England earlier on the 30th of September. In his first-ever appearance in the 20-20 World Cup, Haris played a blistering knock of 28 runs off just 11 balls with two fours and three sixes.

The cricketing fraternity is also in awe of the 21-year-old for his amazing approach in his career’s first-ever 20-20 World Cup. The legendary all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin also heaped his praises meanwhile for the Peshawar-born prodigy.

Speaking of the match, Batting first, Pakistan has posted a total of 185 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Other than Haris, senior all-rounder and vice-captain, Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed smashed brilliant half-century knocks of 51 and 52 respectively.

Mohammad Nawaz also added a contribution of 28 runs off just 22 balls with four boundaries and a six to his name. Anrich Nortje ended up as the leading wicket-taker for the South Africans by scalping four wickets conceding 41 runs in his quota of four overs.

South Africans have a target of 186 runs to chase in the 20 overs. Notably, the win in this match will also help the Proteas to reach the top of the Group 2 table surpassing India who recently outplayed Bangladesh.
