'One of the greatest Indian openers Rohit Shetty' - Twitter trolls Aamir Khan as he names Rohit Shetty as an Indian cricketer on Koffee with Karan

Rohit Sharma has been labelled as Rohit Shetty in what was a slip of tongue from Aamir Khan. Twitter can't stop having a go at it.

Fluffing while speaking is one of the common human behaviours. It is often that people mistake one person for the other. But what would happen if one makes this mistake one famous person for the other?

Something like this happened on the latest episode of Koffee with Karan when Aamir Khan was asked about three cricketers from team India. Aamir Khan after naming Virat Kohli blurted Rohit Shetty as an Indian cricketer.

He was supposedly wanting to say Rohit Sharma but mistook his name for Rohit Shetty, who is a movie director in Bollywood. Although Aamir Khan corrected his mistake, later on, it was enough to be trolled on social media.

Aamir Khan is currently promoting his upcoming movie Lal Singh Chaddha on different platforms and a visit to Koffee with Karan was a part of it. Koffee with Karan is a talk show hosted by the Indian filmmaker Karan Johar.

Khan has been on the wrong end of fans’ anger as they demand his upcoming movie be banned. Notably, Aamir Khan made a movie called PK where he called out outlandish beliefs and practices of every religion. The movie was a success when released in 2014 but continues to be subjected to hate as India gets religiously tensed.

Many fans on Twitter made the “boycott Lal Singh Chaddha” trend asking others to not watch the movie made by Aamir Khan. Mr Khan later put forth a request to not boycott his movie.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is currently leading the team Indian in the five-match T20I series against West Indies. India is ahead with a 2-1 margin with two more matches left to be played. The last two matches are scheduled to be played in Florida, the USA aiming to popularise the game in the States.

India is scheduled to play against Zimbabwe next with Asia Cup right around the corner on August 27th. India will go head to head with arch-rivals Pakistan when they meet in the Asia Cup on 2th August in Dubai.

That is however still a long way to go, let’s first look at Twitter trolling Aamir Khan as he mistook Rohit Sharma for Rohit Shetty on Koffee with Karan.
