Day 9 of the ongoing Oman D20 tournament saw Ruwi Rangers and Khuwair Warrior's post-thumping wins against Bousher Busters and Azaiba XI receptively. The Rangers are placed first on the points table, while the Warriors are placed fourth on the points table. Both teams will look to consolidate their position at the top half of the points table.

In the first match of the day, the Rangers cruised to an easy 46-run victory over Busters. It was a completely dominating performance from the Rangers with the bat and ball. Batting first, the team posted a mammoth score of 195. Khalid Kail and Zohiab Amanat’s 60 and 45 runs respectively were the catalysts of the team getting to this score. The former was the more aggressor of the two, while the latter mixed caution with aggression.

The Busters bowlers failed to trouble the pair. All their bowlers conceded more than eight runs per over. In the batting also, the Busters could not get any sort of momentum. Their opening batters Abdul Rauf- I and Pruthvikumar Macchi got the team off to a good start. However, the duo’s wickets triggered a collapse and Busters could reach only 149.

In the second match of the day, the Warriors posted a comfortable six-wicket victory against Azaiba XI. Chasing a competitive score of 150, Aamir Kaleem’s unbeaten 67 off 51 balls, and handy contributions from Karuthapandian and Nowak sealed the deal for the Warriors. Meanwhile, Azaiba XI failed to cash in on the winning momentum.

They managed to get one past over Busters but found wanting against the Warriors. Azaiba are currently placed last on the points table, managing to win just one game. It would be a tall ask for the team to break into the top four.
